Both campuses have an active PTG that assists the schools in countless ways. The mission of the PTG is to:

• Facilitate unity between the parents and the school community thus enriching the lives of our children
• Support the educational environment through open communication and a close relationship between home and school
• Organize activities to enhance the “Spirit of Community"
• Support the overall school mission

The PTG's mission is achieved through a variety of activities and services organized and administered by the group. Major events include Applefest and Worldfest on the Oberursel Campus, and Harvest Fest and Summer fete on the Wiesbaden Campus. In between, a host of other family-oriented events, school service projects, new student orientations, and Visiting Authors Programs are sponsored by the PTG.

PTG members also volunteer as room parents, library volunteers, book fair coordinators, and classroom volunteers who work in many different capacities.  The group's country coordinators are also often available to welcome new families and answer questions in their native language.

PTG meetings are held bi-monthly and are open to all parents.

The main goals of the Athletic Booster Club are to encourage parental support for the FIS athletic program and its student athletes, and to provide funds to enhance the athletic program within the school. 

Funds are raised via the school Bookstore and profit from the concession stand sales of food and drink at matches and at Saturday Sports. In past years these funds have enabled the school to buy a variety of sports equipment.

All Athletic Booster Club activities are organized by volunteers. The club meets monthly in the Athletic Booster Club area in front of the FIS Upper School concession stand.

SPA is a parent-run organization with a mission to support the performing arts department’s performances and, in turn, the performing students at FIS. Support from the group comes in the form of pre-performance ticket sales, creating and distributing programs, collection of tickets during performances, and selling beverages and snacks during intermissions. All money raised by SPA is donated to the Performing Arts Department at FIS.

The group meets several times during the year to discuss upcoming events and the ways in which it can assist. SPA Coordinators for various arts (Band, Choir, Orchestra, Drama and Dance), maintain close contact with their respective leaders in the performing arts department.
