FIS Facilities Master Plan

To be a leader in international education, a school must not only offer exceptional instruction, but it must also have outstanding facilities to foster an ideal learning environment. Frankfurt International School has developed – and regularly updates – a Master Plan that plots a course for continually modernizing its facilities to maintain its competitive edge both locally and, when compared to international schools, worldwide.

Recent improvements at FIS include a new Arts and Sciences wing completed in 2006, a completely renovated and expanded cafeteria in 2010, and a new Performing Arts Auditorium and Alumni Courtyard completed in March 2012.

Below are a few photos from some of the school's recent projects.

The Big Picture

The extension of FIS improvements comprises the following units/sections:

• School Educational Areas: 16 new classrooms
• Sports Center: Two (2) two-field gymnasia; Associated side rooms; Conference room; Fitness room; Sanitary Facilities
• Security Office and Transportation Center: Access control
• Additional Rooms: Amphitheater, Garbage Room, Technical Rooms

The Auditorium, Foyer, Cafeteria and Courtyard projects have been completed as Phases 1 and 2 of the Facilities Master Plan.
