Worldfest at FIS
This year's Worldfest will feature food and drinks from more than a dozen countries, entertainment from many different cultures, indoor and outdoor games, vendor booths and more! More information about food vendors, entertainment, ticket prices and more will be added to this page soon.
Worldfest 2013 is open to all, so spread the word and feel free to bring friends and family – even if they are not at FIS. Please remember, parking will not be permitted at FIS before or during the event. Free shuttle buses will be available to and from the Edeka and Rolls Royce parking lots in Oberursel. We look forward to seeing you for the celebration!
Worldfest Gets Greener – and you can help!
In close collaboration with the FIS environmental groups, Worldfest has become a greener event. We'll use less paper and plastic supplies again this year, and have asked each of the booths to REDUCE the need for plates and/or REPLACE them by offering more finger food to be served on napkins. Also, all families are invited to bring their own picnic equipment to help! Taking public transportation to Worldfest is another way for people to reduce the carbon footprint of the event!
Our main focus is on RECYCLING as much as possible. Past events have shown that more than 50% of bottles used were not returned for collecting the Pfand. Therefore, we will charge one (1) ticket per bottle upon purchase at the Soda Booth, which can then be redeemed by returning the bottle at the Pfand Booth. This year, in place of waste bins, we will be installing trash return stations where all trash will be sorted into appropriate bins by student volunteers from our FIS Environmental Groups. Just look for the green balloons floating over each trash station!
