a place where safeguarding is foundational

FIS is committed to fostering a safe and caring environment for the whole school community. We act in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, German law, and guidance from the International Taskforce on Child Protection.

Safeguarding is a fundamental part of the school’s strategic impact of Wellbeing and Belonging. It is embedded within all aspects of school life including the curriculum, facilities, professional development, parent education offerings and recruitment practices.

The school leadership and counselors work in partnership with parents, students and teachers to promote student safety and wellbeing.

If you would like to report a concern or have an idea that would add to our school's safeguarding efforts, please use the form linked on the page. For further information about Safeguarding at FIS, please contact the FIS Safeguarding Lead, Leila Holmyard.
