a place to become a warrior

Ready to play

As an extension of the classroom, the FIS Athletic Program provides Middle and High School student athletes with a place – whether it be a field, court, trail or swim lane – to learn about teamwork, experience personal growth, and build strong moral character. We are committed to providing a wide variety of athletic experiences to teach students life-long skills, including respect, commitment and sportsmanship.

Our dedicated coaches, educators and parents inspire athletes to persevere and be courageous, while still having fun. As a community, we encourage good character – both on the field and in the stands. We strive to foster the FIS Warrior spirit, instill pride in our school, and ensure that our athletes leave with positive memories and a love of the sport.

FIS participates in the International Schools Sports Tournament (ISST) , which allows our students to both host visiting athletes here at home and travel to other destinations around Europe for games and tournaments.

"Being an FIS Warrior means working together as a team, building connections with other athletes, and staying committed to training. The discipline I gain in sports also helps me stay focused in school.During practices, the friendships we’ve developed make the experience fun, but everyone’s determination to do our best helps us stay focused on our goals. The energy during games is incredible, especially when you score at home and hear the crowd roaring. It’s moments like these that push me to perform my best."

"Being an FIS Warrior is about being a good sportsperson, being kind, and enjoying the game with my teammates. One of the best parts of being on the team is making new friends from both FIS and competing schools. Many of the friendships I cherish today started through sports. One of my favorite traditions is the “1, 2, 3, Warriors” cheer before we play; it always energizes us and boosts our motivation. Being a Warrior at FIS has inspired me to pursue sports even more seriously."

"As a new FIS Warrior, for me being on the team means representing our school while having fun doing the sport I love. The best part of being an FIS Warrior is the time spent with my teammates, whether we’re running together or celebrating each other's achievements. A standout moment for me was when my friend placed second in a race, and when our team won third place overall — it really captured the spirit of our team."
