In February, Dr. Paul Fochtman was named 2018 Superintendent (Head of School) of the Year by the Association for the Advancement of International Education (AAIE).
The award is given annually to a single Head of School who has exemplified outstanding leadership and service among international schools worldwide. Dr. Fochtman has been a renowned educational leader in Asia, Europe and the United States for more than 20 years, and this honor shows that he is indeed at the top of his profession.
In addition to being one of the youngest recipients of the award, Dr. Fochtman is also the first Head of School in Germany to be honored with this distinction. He was recognized at the United Nations in New York in February, before offering an address to a gathering of international school leaders at the annual AAIE meeting. Frankfurt International School's community congratulates Dr. Fochtman again on this achievement and feels fortunate to have an internationally-recognized leader at the helm of the school.
