Frankfurt International School is pleased to announce a gradual reopening for all students in First Steps through Grade 11; our Grade 12 students are officially done with classes – congratulations, Seniors!
Grade 11 students returned to campus on 4 May.
During the week of 18 May, Grade 5, 9 and 10 students returned to the Oberursel Campus; Grade 6-8 students returned to the Wiesbaden Campus.
During the week of 25 May, Grades 4 and 8 will return to the Oberursel Campus; Grades 4 and 5 will return to the Wiesbaden Campus.
During the week of 2 June, First Steps through Grade 3 students will return to both campuses.
All grade-level returns to campus have specific criteria (for example, some grade levels are split in half and will attend class on campus every other day; other grade levels will come to campus for morning classes and other grades will come for afternoon classes). When not in class on campus, students will learn via the Distance Learning Plan (DLP).
Although our campuses remain closed to outside visitors, the admissions office remains available to answer your questions by writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Heavy machinery has arrived and it's full steam ahead for construction of a new state-of-the art – and environmentally-friendly – building at Frankfurt International School's Wiesbaden Campus. The new facility – voted by FISW community members to be named the ACE Building – will provide students increased space for offerings in STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). The new visual and performing arts center will provide more opportunities in music, drama, and art. In addition to the new building, the current FISW facility will also be refurbished to include:
- Design technology and science labs
- An open community cafe for family/middle school students
- Multimedia studio
- Additional hands-on space
- An innovation hub and expanded tech deck / library
The school hopes to complete the projects in 2021. To learn more about the project, please visit the FISW Building Project page.
