Upper School LibraryThe Upper School Library is a place where students, staff and parents engage in both academic and personal learning.
Our Collection The US Library currently owns a collection of approximately 25,000 books and 2,500 DVDs. We also subscribe to nearly 70 periodicals and a dozen online databases and tools.
The collection has been developed to support the school's curricular areas and to help patrons pursue their personal interests, keeping in mind the international nature of the community it serves.

The US Library offers a learning environment that allows for simultaneous use for different purposes, such as individual engagements, small group collaborations, and class instructions.
The flexible yet designated areas include: • Main area with 70+ seating • Reading corner • Group/collaborative work areas • Kino viewing room
Our Program Upper School students are taught relevant levels of information literacy skills by the Librarian, in collaboration with subject area teachers. These skills are introduced and reviewed in context of subject area learning and therefore often in conjunction with existing projects and assignments.
Literature appreciation is fostered through booktalks, reading promotion activities and author visits.
Students and parents may borrow up to 25 items for a period of three weeks. Loans can include up to 3 DVDs, and the loan period for DVDs and other audiovisual materials is one week. Past issues of periodicals can also be checked out.
